March For Our Lives – social graphics

March for our Lives reached out for social graphics days before their initial march on March 24th, 2018. I worked with their volunteer coordinator to determine their needs – big, simple graphics that visualized American gun violence statistics – and got to work.

I chose to use overlapping elements to mirror the chaos caused by gun violence as well as add visual interest. One limitation of this project was to use only typography; working within that constraint challenged me to play with font weight, size, and positioning to amplify and add visual interest to the gun facts.
